CAA amending citizenship act 1955 grant citizenship to the persecuted minorities of Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Persecuted minorities are referred here as non muslim minority. It is sure houses of those who have got citizenship will fire cracker bestowing their happiness. This govt. was always determined to grant citizenship to refugees and they have done it.
But throughout the country it is being boycotted because of its discriminating nature. Our National freedom fighter were always sure that India will always treat each religion equally. This principle is violated by the policy maker where some communal people is enjoying the power.
Govt. does not talk about other persecuted minorities like Tamils, Rohingya, Madhesi, Ahmedia communities. Also Govt. Has no plan to deport them back to their own country. Critising neighborhood for their pro majority policy has harmed our relation with them. Bangladesh ministers have cancelled many visits to India. We can not afford other Pakistan type relation with our neighbour.
In the mid of all this, one voice is being silented. Voice of Assam of their fear to lose their indigenous culture. They fear as they have seen Tripura where local community is now minority.
The fear of constituent assembly is being proved right now. They said that if any party comes in full majority then it will be cabinet dictatorship and here it is. It’s high time now for judiciary to perform their duty and scrap this law on the doctrine of basic feature and restore the value of constitution of India.
